As a merchant or a freelancer who receives international payments from customers, Foreign Inward Remittance Advise (FIRA) is an important document to have.

We at ecoquest, have been working hard to make the process of acquiring FIRA faster, simpler and cheaper for you. In that journey, we are happy to announce that we have automated the process of acquiring this document with our newly launched Monthly Digital FIRA.

Starting February 2021, you will be able to download an automatically generated FIRA every month, right from your ecoquest business account, and most importantly- for free!

Tired of manual requests, long waiting queues at banks and high costs? We’ve heard you!

As a ecoquest merchant, you will now be able to download your Monthly Digital FIRA directly from your ecoquest Business account every month at no cost. The process is completely automated, so you need not place any request for acquiring this important document. Your Monthly Digital FIRA will be available for download by 15th of every subsequent and will have reference to all your previous month’s foreign inward transactions done via ecoquest. When the Monthly Digital FIRA is ready to be downloaded, we will notify you via your registered email address.

Here’s how you can download your Monthly Digital FIRAs

1. Login to your ecoquest business account

2.Click on reports

3. Click on Statements

4.Click on Foreign Inward Remittance Advise (FIRA)

5. Click Download

We understand some of you have specific requirements when getting FIRA. To support these custom requirements, we are continuing the existing simple processes where you are charged nominally and get physical FIRA delivered to your bank. You can pay digitally or via DD and get the FIRA delivered to your beneficiary bank. Check below for the details of both options.

ELECTRONIC PAYMENT REQUEST

For electronic request and payment of FIRA, please follow the steps mentioned below:

1. Send an email request to the our FIRA team . Please mark the beneficiary bank’s Relationship Manager /Trade Desk/Branch email id in Cc (The email id being marked in Cc has to be the bank’s domain email id ). Please note that the request Email has to be sent from your company domain in case of an enterprise for which FIRA is being sought. If you are requesting for FIRA as an individual who has received international payments, the request can be made from your personal email id.

2. The completed FIRA Request Letter with inward single /multiple transactions received needs to be duly filled in and sent as an attachment with your email. To view the sample Request letter format, click here

3.Make NEFT payment for FIRA charges( inclusive of GST)

4. our team will verify the details and confirm receipt of the correct FIRA charges basis UTR reference mentioned in the request letter. UTR is the Unique Transaction Reference number generated for NEFT transaction.

5. we will print and dispatch the advice to the Beneficiary bank address.

6. Collect your FIRA advice/certificate from your respective bank.

DD BASED PAYMENT REQUEST

For Demand Draft based request for FIRA / Advice, kindly follow the steps mentioned below::

Contact the bank where your ecoquest withdrawals are credited to request a FIRA along with the following information:

1. Unique Transaction Reference number (UTR).

2. Customer name

3.Account number

4. Amount of money

5. Date and purpose of the payment

We recommend that the letter also mention that the payment was received through ecoquest. You can refer to a sample request letter here. Please also inform your bank of the postal address you want the certificate(s) to be delivered to..
